The Verdict Is In...

And we're both staying! WOOHOO! Both of us are super happy that we get to stay at least one more transfer. We are working with so many Awesome investigators. I wouldn't be suprised if at least 3 of them are baptized this transfer. The Lord has blessed us with so many wonderful people whom he has been preparing!

Rafael's baptism was great! I was playing the piano to bring the spirit and it was a little nerve wrecking right before the baptism because I was playing "Peace" and "River God" and no one, NO ONE was talking, which is very unusual for a Spanish ward! The spirit was so strong and I didn't want to ruin it by making a mistake. Arturo wasn't baptized with Rafael, but he does want to get baptized. Hopefully next week! I've written more about that and some of the other investigators in my news letter so you can read about that later.

We did a family home evening with a recent convert family and the kids had a ton of fun running around finding our clues to a treasure hunt! We tied it in with a lesson about following the commandments and obeying our parents, and how we can learn more about the commandments by reading the scriptures. For now, I think we are going to try and make that a regular thing until they start making it a habit. Next week we are going to play a game about the Book of Mormon and talk about some of the stories in there and talk a little more in depth about the importance of reading the Book of Mormon! I think the kids are really excited about family home evening.

I can't tell you how much the Lord is blessing us in His work! We are seeing so many blessings in this work. It's taken us 2 transfers to figure things out (and we still are) but I really think this transfer is going to be the best of them all! I love this work!

Sister Dastrup and I decided to go out to eat at a place called Boudin SF on September 5, for our 6th-month marker. It's a sandwich place but does things like Noodles and Company and we had a coupon! We are "Dumpster Divers"... or rather, when we find a coupon we like in the mail, we look in the recycle bin in the mail room for more! Sometimes... anyway we had a buy one get one free so we only ended up spending like $4 each. It wasn't too bad, but not worth full price on a missionaries budget! But, as I was going to say, we weren't exactly sure if we were celebrating or mourning the fact that we are 1/3 of the way through our missions and the days just keep going faster and faster!

Well I'm gonna close for now so that Sister Dastrup can check her email and so we can go get all of our shopping and everything done! I love you all and I'll send you all the updates on everything next monday!

Love Always-
Hermana Bradfield
