FIRM!!!

Hola Familia Mia,

Sounds like all is well in Colorado. Over the past couple of weeks, Arturo has told us he knows it's all true and knows he needs to be baptized; he's just afraid of messing up and worried about letting go of the past. But yesterday, he FINALLY decided on a date...October 12! It's a long way away, but I feel really good about it. We wanted him to be baptized yesterday but Hermana Dastrup and I both talked about it during weekly planning and agred for a couple of reasons that he wasn't ready and we needed to tell him why. So we told him during our lesson that night and he defended everything that we said to him with things like, "No, I'll do it; I know I will!" It was exactly what I told Hermana Dastrup would happen. Reverse Psychology! LOL - it was pretty funny and it took a lot of self control to not laugh!

Anyway, yesterday he also continued to tell us that his wife and her sister-in-law were telling him the night before that we don't need anything more than the Bible and that our church was false and really tryin to convince him it wasn't right; and he told us that he told them that he knows the Book of Mormon is true and that this church is the true church! WOOHOO! GO ARTURO! I love that guy! Now we have a firm and hopefully his friend Pedro will get baptized on the same day...Maybe both can be done by Rafael!

Rafael was confirmed today and received the Priesthood! We got to go with his mom an witness him receiving the Priesthood! He is so cool! He's going to be a strong member as he progresses in the gospel! We taught him last night about temple work and family history, and he seemed really excited to do it! You all will get to meet him one day, and when you do, you'll love him!

Anyway, gotta go - time's up!

Hermana Bradfield Loves You!

Buenas Dias Noticias - Another week (actually 4 days this time) have come and gone and...Arturo's going to be baptized! He finally decided he wanted to be baptized on October 12. He's known for a while that the Book of Mormon truly is another testament of Jesus Christ and that the church is Jesus Christ's true church restored to the earth once again by the prophet Joseph Smith. October 12 is a little ways away in missionary time, but really, I feel good about this date for him and I know he'll be fine. He, himself, has told us "I've received too many answers to not be baptized!" Go Arturo!

Last week, Hermana Dastrup and I visited a lot of less actives; and on Sunday we saw a couple come to church who haven't been in a long time, and they both felt really good and peaceful about being back. It's so great to see people come back! Since the first week we got down here to Stockton, we've seen the ward gradually grow stronger and stronger and bigger and biggr. The members are so awesome and willing to help, and that's the way it should be. This work wouldn't be possible without the members.

With that, I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Para Siempre,
Hermana Bradfield
