Hola!

Hola Familia!

This last week was good. It started off really well but everything slowed down by the end. It was really hard tracting due to the rain that has started to come, Halloween, and with elections coming up; everyone thinks we are going around asking people if they were voting... So that aspect of the work has been a little slow and probably will be until after tomorrow; but we still have some great investigators!

Antonio is scheduled to be baptized this Sunday. He's really cool and we like him a lot! He's the one who had the really bad accident a year ago and is a walking miracle! We are really excited for him and I think he's a little excited too!

We had to be in by 6:00 P.M. on Halloween, and so the missionaries in Stockton all got together at one of the chapels and had a dessert cookoff and played basketball. It was fun! we had a great time. One of the elders brought creme brulee. It was delicious!

Sister Dastrup had fun trying to dress up like me, which meant that I had to lend her my necklace, earrings, watch; and then she pulled her hair up in a pony tail and wore a Jody dress with a sweater! I can't help it if I'm so popular! I... was myself! Sister Dastrup LOVES Halloween! She's so funny!

Speaking of Sister Dastrup, she is feeling a little sad because none of her friends/family write her very often. I don't know if any of you would be willing but if you would like to write her a letter and send it off to her, I think that would make her day! Especially since last week I got the two packages from Mom and Aunt Faye and Uncle Jim sent me a Fudge package! Oh my goodness. It's so delicious! They sent a ton! Anyway, that was a pleasant surprise!

So I've started reading Jesus the Christ! It's slow reading because I want to make sure I really understand everything, and I'm trying to read some of the references and notes that are included! I'm really excited, but I have a feeling that it's going to take some time to actually finish since we aren't leaving much room for reading in our planning!

November 16th is the Primary program in sacrament meeting, so I will be spending the next couple of Saturdays and Sunday with the primary to play the piano for them and help them prepare for their program. It should be really good! I'm excited. I love playing the primary songs!

That's been my week in a nutshell! I hope everyone has a good week and just know that I love you!

Para Siempre,
Hermana Bradfield

Buenas Dias Noticias - Hola! Como estan? Another week has come and gone. The rain is starting to come in! I love the rain! But, I think we are heading for a very bad hair day for the next 5-6 months! :) Bring on the rain!

We are getting ready for our mission conference next week. Elder Pearson of the Quorum of the Seventy is coming to speak to us. We all have to prepare a talk and he is going to decide that day who he is going to call on to speak. We have our topic, but it's one you have to think about and not one we can look up in the topical guide. Oh well, you all know how much I liked my public speaking class. It should be fun thinking about what to say.

Before I forget, because it's Mission Conference next week, p-day isn't until next Wednesday; so just a head's up.

Every week we seem to be led to someone new who is looking for truth, or to old members looking for help to come back to church. The Lord truly has His hand in everything we do, and there is so much more to be done. The members are truly key to this work. There is too much work to do and too few missionaries to do it all. Remember Elder Bednar's talk last April; he said it's the members who are full-time finders and the missionaries who are full-time teachers. The members should also be working on retaining and fellowshipping those who have lost their way to help them find the path again. Missionaries can't do this work alone! I hope you will all look for and pray for more missionary opportunities, whether it be inviting people to listen to the missionary discussions or helping a less active return to the fold of Jesus Christ.

I love you all and I hope you have a great week and a half!

Para Siempre,
Hermana Bradfield
