Hola!
So this week has been a missionary usual. First of all, this week I found out that I have had quite the experience my first transfer here. No one has ever heard of a "Greenie" being shotgunned twice in their first transfer. I guess I'm just special like that! So before I forget to mention this while on on the subject of transfers, next Wed. is transfers and I guess we don't find out if we are staying or going until Monday night so Monday is a regular day and P-day next week will be Tuesday! So just a heads up, letters and email are going to be one day later so please pass that info on!
Now on to business. MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCHISIMAS GRACIAS for my package! Koodos, gone, Cereal, getting there, Fruitsnacks, dido, Granola bars, etc.... GRACIAS! Haven't had the chance to bust out the PB&J but I'm feeling there is a good chance of that happening this week!
So real fast, if Kim or whomever is up to the project, APPARENTLY we can have all types of music out here as long as it is uplifting and doesnt have romantic overtones. So, the only one I would request a copy of like that would be Jack Johnson's Curious George soundtrack I bought and then if you could send me the Kenneth Cope, Mindy Gledhill Sum of all Grace + the new one (I think Hna Pray has the copy that Kate sent me cause I never got it back from her cd player!) and any other EFY/Church CD's we have! That would be fabulous but you can send them whenever is convenient, its not important!
DAD- Sorry about your early Father's Day card. I got a little ahead of myself. For some reason I thought it was yesterday even though I knew it wasn't!
So this week has been and Up and Down week, our firms are not our firms anymore. They are moving to another area and I don't think they are going to be baptized anytime soon for a number of reasons but I'll let you read that in the letter.
On the BRIGHTEST side, We have another Firm! Her name is Lidia Bustos and I also talked about her in the other letter. Pretty much she's just awesome! She came to church with us yesterday even though she had forgot and wasn't planning on it but decided to get ready in 20 mins and then after Sacrament meeting we had her scheduled for the 28th of June as a Baptism goal!SaWEET! I was so excited!
Every Saturday night there is a temple tour up at the Sac Temple(English at 6 and Spanish at 7) and they show clips of the First Presidency (Pres. Hinckley included) and their testimonies, part of The Restoration and take the people on a tour of the temple grounds and talk about the different rooms in the Temple and why they are important and then take them on a tour of the chaple that's just off to the side and the baptismal font. I think I already talked about this but its really neat and its a great experience. We took Julissa there the week before her baptism and last Saturday we took one of our uniquely AWESOME investigators.
His name is Jose and his wife's name is Araceli. They are both amazing people. We've visited with her quite a bit and she is the apartment candy/goodie seller lady that all the kids come too for their junk food needs and she also watches a lot of the kids in the apartment for the moms while they are at work. She's been doing great and she's prayed about the book of Mormon and knows its true and she even said that she read the Book of Mormon to help her feel better the other day when she was having a rough time with some family issues. Jose on the other hand comes from a family where his brother is Atheist, His sister is a member of the church and in our ward and he is Catholic but leaned more toward the "Atheist" side.
So saturday night we invited him to the tour and he actually seemed really excited to go but Araceli couldnt come (sadness). So we hooked him up with a ride with an awesome member of our ward, Hno Pallarez, and he really liked it and said that he needed to keep learning more about our church as in he really wants to learn more. It was just AWESOME. Now we just have to get them to church next week.
Anyway, I'm out of time cause its Sister Anderson's turn but real fast, I can print off emails and REALLY COOL STUFF, Julissa left 30 mins ago for her first Girls Camp! Isn't that exciting! She's so great!
Until next week!
Hermana Bradfield!
