Christian with Hermanas Bradfield and Anderson

Rafael, Christian, Hermana Anderson and Hermana Bradfield

Thought you weren't getting an email, didn't you! Just kidding; we decided to email at Bonnie's house before dinner today, so here we are! How is everyone? Is it snowing in Colorado? It's FINALLY starting to rain here! I LOVE the rain and I am A-OK working out in the rain!

This last week has been REALLY slow! We've done a lot of Recent Convert and Less Active work, but haven't really found anyone new to teach. I feel like we were very unbalanced this last week because we hardly taught investigators. We really don't have anyone to teach and need to start finding more people again!

Even though the work is slow, I'm doing really well. A little beat up from too much basketball, but it's my favorite form of exercise in the morning! It's a good thing too; otherwise the Elders wouldn't have a ball to play with. ;) So if you hadn't guessed, that's what we did today.

Someone hacked into JP Morgan and stole a bunch of missionaries' credit card numbers last night. Mine was one of them, so we all went and withdrew the money from our cards and are now in the process of waiting until we receive our new cards in the mail soon! Haha, it's not that bad at all but I do know that I will NEVER use JP Morgan EVER. I think this is the second time something like this has happened! WARNING FOR EVERYONE!

So, Christian received the Gift of the Holy Ghost and the Aaronic Priesthood today! He is such a quiet, funny guy. They talked a lot about the great example he would be to all those around him, and Arturo and Rafael have been great friends to him. We didn't even have to ask them to invite Christian to come out and help them with missionary work! They are so cool!

RAFAEL AND MARTIN are getting the Priesthood! I am SO EXCITED! They both had their interviews with the Stake President yesterday; and we are having a broadcasted Stake Conference this Sunday, so they will sustain them! YAY! I am so excited! Martin has come a long way since that first day we came down to Stockton, and he has overcome a lot of trials to be where he is at (don't remember if I told you much about him, he was less active and then was reactivated when we got down here). Rafael is just Cool! There is no other word for it. I am SO grateful to know all these wonderful people! Antonio is doing well, he's back and forth between here and Santa Clara because his dad has been in the hospital after having heart surgery. Saul helped Rafael and Martin ordain Christian to the office of Priest the other day, and we are having a family home evening with them and the Martinez family tonight!

Transfers are next week (HEADS UP!) and I will for sure be getting a new companion since this is the last week and a half for Sister Anderson. My prediction is that Sister McCleve will come down and be my companion. Should be a good transfer if she does!

Sister Turley, one of the English sisters that moved in with us this last transfer, is my Twin! No joke! We are probably 90% alike in everyway possible! We've had a lot of fun this transfer. She goes home next transfer but mark my words, you will not hear the last about Sister Turley!

So as you have probably noticed, it's been a rough week with the lack of people to teach, but that just means that God is preparing someone really great for us! Oh yeah, Irene won't be back from eye surgery in time for her baptism and now isn't necesarily planning on being baptized. It's quite a bummer, but there isn't much we can do when she's no where near us or even in the mission!

Thank you for the Valentines day package; I LOVE chocolate and the little notebooks are way fun! Sister Anderson really liked hers!

To answer your question, I can't really think of anything for my birthday except... PLEASE GET ME A WICKED SWEET AWESOME NUGGETS T-Shirt so that I can sport MY team, and so I don't have to stoop to the level of buying a Sacramento Kings t-shirt. I just can't bring myself to do it! And maybe if Gma and Gpa ask for ideas, you could tell them that my CU shirt, that I brought out here, is starting to look like a rag! I could use another T from CU as well. I have to sport my Colorado Pride! Other than that, I don't have anything I can think of. (PS--Dad do you know how much I've spent of Christmas money? I think I'm really close but I don't remember. If you don't, don't worry about it!) Oh, and thanks for the skirt Mom!

My Favorite GS Cookies are the TAG-A-Longs and the Do Si Does and Samoas! Thanks! I haven't seen ANYONE selling GS Cookies here, can you believe that???

Okay, well I love you all and hope you have a great week, until next tuesday!

Love Always
Hermana Bradfield
